We see two people together in a room. They act ordinarily, with great precision. They perform small, banal choreographies demonstrating the rituals of love, exchange trivial, absurd conversations and recount exaggerated love stories. As the actions become more distinct, the peculiar and the droll of their relationship grows explicit. The empty shell of kitsch and clichés is, through the performers, an honest and dry presence filled with humor, absurdity and graveness. In short: real love. – Two naked souls, moving in a strange world where they are both creators and captives.

Constructed Love plays with the fact that it is “only” theater. It is about the ‘being’ and the ‘being together’, about love and the necessity to ‘create’ it.
Constructed Love emphasizes and counts on the clarity and presence of the performers with success, the result being a subtle, witty study of the different appearances of love and intimacy.
